The practice of co-constructing sculptural monuments, both dynamic andtemporary, in local spaces is a proposal to create a collective and social experience, to feel and reflect, and to open imaginaries. Intervening public spaces and transforming/ creating urban encounters, this project intends to inspire the sensibility of those present in this local and public space of how they relate to the human environment. It aims at reflecting, deconstructing and overcoming relations which are closely linked to forms of epistemic injustice and colonial capitalism, which frequently expands its control over native territories and local communities, and is legitimizing by the neoliberal system.
By encouraging collective practice and encounters with other beings – the sea and the wind – manifesting themselves both through sound and their voices as well as through a reflecting transparent/opaque plane, a collective imaginary of desired relations between humans and non-humans should be sparked. This project gives agency to different entities. Besides human participants, it creates a space for the winds, the oceans and the camara in to the subject of making, to manifest themselves and confront us with the ghostlike, in order to address the socio-legal challenges of what is happening to the rights of nature. It invites us to think about how we know and create knowledge. It encourages us to imagine different worlds and ways of feeling and thinking with nature and others, abandoning human-centred perspectives, and recognises the manifestation of diversity through imagination and the possibility of a pluriverse.
